Nice pool and friendly staff. Wi-Fi was spotty, and parking was tricky.

The hotel is super family-friendly with a fantastic pool area. We loved the kids’ playground which kept our little ones entertained for hours. Plus, the breakfast spread was diverse and delicious, making mornings a treat for everyone, including my parent.

My kids wished the noise levels from the nearby areas were lower. It would be great if the hotel could enforce quieter hours for families.

Had an awesome time with my friends at this hotel! The location is perfect for hitting up the promenade's fountain show and the daily hippy market. We enjoyed the chill vibes at the pool and the air-conditioning was a lifesaver. Plus, the 24-hour reception was super handy for our late nights. Definitely a great choice for a group vacation!

One downside was the noise from some neighbors who loved slamming doors at night, which made it hard to sleep sometimes.

My room was spacious, with clean linens and a modern bathroom. Breakfast offered a wide selection, including fresh fruits and baked goods, which I looked forward to each morning. Staff were mostly friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere. However, noise was a significant issue. I could hear everything from the corridor and neighboring rooms. The security guard had a tough reputation. while I appreciated his role, he seemed overly aggressive at times, especially when enforcing rules about noise in the late evening. Some of the furniture felt outdated, and I encountered a few bathroom hiccups with the shower pressure fluctuating. Despite these drawbacks, I would consider staying again, but probably ask for a quieter room.

i had a fantastic stay at the tropical during my visit to san antonio. the breakfast included freshly baked goods and a nice selection of fruits. the staff were genuinely friendly and attentive, making my trip even better.
